Ethereum-based L2 networks are experiencing increased activity as users flock to them for their cheap fees and quick transactions. However, researcher Luca Donno of L2BEAT highlighted the vulnerability of some networks, including Zora, Aevo, Hypr, Ancient8, Lyra, Mode, Pgn, Parallel, and Metal, which were all built using RaaS provider Conduit. This single address allows a Conduit representative to affect transactions in all of the mentioned rollups, leading to concerns about decentralization. Despite assurances from Conduit founder Andrew Huang that the security system will be enhanced, experts argue that this won’t help on a global scale. The situation exposed a major issue with decentralization of such chains and highlights the need for improved security measures.
